Dopo anni di paziente lavorìo clandestino, sono finalmente riusciti a fondare una loro organizzazione sindacale di legittima difesa. Dove?. Sotto qualche “regime dittatoriale”?. Si. Il regime dittatoriale della Silicon Valley.
Da Internazionalisti Siciliani salutiamo con gioia immensa la nascita dell’Alphabet Workers Union, affiliata alla Communications Workers of America che rappresenta i lavoratori nelle telecomunicazioni e nei media negli Stati Uniti e in Canada.
“La creazione di un sindacato, riporta il New York Times, è molto insolita nell’industria hi-tech, che ha resistito finora agli sforzi di organizzarsi dei suoi lavoratori. La nascita del sindacato segue le forti pressioni dei dipendenti di Google per una revisione delle politiche sui compensi, sulle molestie e sull’etica.”. (ANSA).

After years of patient clandestine activity, they finally managed to found their own Trade Union to defend their rights! Where? Under which “dictatorial regime”? Well, the dictatorial regime of Silicon Valley.
We as Sicilian Internationalists salute with great joy the birth of the Alphabet Workers Union, affiliated to the Communications Workers of America, which represents the telecommunications and media workers in the United States and Canada.
The New York Times reports: “The union’s creation is highly unusual for the tech industry, which has long resisted efforts to organize its largely white-collar work force. It follows increasing demands by employees at Google for policy overhauls on pay, harassment and ethics, and is likely to escalate tensions with top leadership.”
